RIP: Kogi Elder Statesman, Idris Siaka King Dies - Okene.

An Elder Statesman and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State, Alh Idris Siaka King has died. Idris King who was popularly called Igwe reportedly passed on in the late night of Saturday in his Okene residence.

 Until his death, he was recently appointed Chairman of the Governor Yahaya Bello constituted Elders Advisory Council in Kogi Central.

 He is also the father of a one time Member of the House of Representatives, representing Okene/Ogorimagongo constituency, Alh Abdulazeez Idris King elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in 2003.

 Reacting to what has been tagged a shocking news, astute Banker, Alh Nasiru Usman Bello described the deceased as a rare gem in the politics and development of Kogi Central senatorial district.

 In a condolence message made available to Ebira Reporters, the aspiring lawmaker said, "he was a father, our icon and a progress poised politician, especially in Kogi Central whom every leader desirous of wisdom should run to."

 He prayed to God to repose his soul, and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
