In fulfillment of his promises, Nigeria's Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu has revisited Adavi-Eba community in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State to commission a four-bedroom clinic built for Pa Aliyu Giwa Ejivade, a traditional medicine practitioner.

Recall that Dr Onu had paid a shocking visit to the 90 year-old Giwa on July 6th, 2017 for distinguishing himself in the herbal treatment of prostate cancer and other ailments, promising to expand his clinic by building for him a four-bedroom flat to enable him to accommodate more patients and also provide him with a vehicle to enhance mobility.

A year after, Dr Onu has on Monday commissioned the newly built clinic and also gifted the herbal practitioner a brand new car. Dr Onu who was accompanied by the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Prof Stephen Ocheni urged all traditional herbal practitioners to emulate Pa Giwa in combating life-threatening ailments.

He also advised Pa Giwa to allow the Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA) a scientific experiment on his herbs so that pharmacists can further produce drugs out of them for the benefit of Nigerians.

Pa Giwa who was elated in thanksgiving to the Federal Government, promised to push more efforts into the practice. Also present at the commissioning were representatives from the Ministry of Health, and some patients whose freedom from prostrate cancer brought Pa Giwa to limelight.
